I have always had a love for photography, but marriage and children have been my priority for the last 22 years. Now that my children are grown and growing I have more time for my passion.
Photography has so many meanings for me. We capture moments to preserve treasured memories for a lifetime and beyond. Pictures tell our stories for generations to come. We have all seen black and white photos from the past, we look at the faces, we see the clothes and we wonder about these people. Who were they? Where did they come from? What was their life like? They are gone but not forgotten. Long preserved on tin, paper, canvas, in books and on the pages of albums.
My goal in my photography is to capture and tell a story. My favorite photography is not posed or staged but to seize the moments of life as they occur.
I live in the green mountains of Vermont with my husband and four children in our home nestled among the city willows.
